How do I get started?

The first thing is to work
out where a web site fits into
your sales and marketing
strategy.

This will steer you to the
size and type of site you
need.

For some businesses
only a couple of pages
may be enough to meet
customers' expectations
of a web address and
proper email.

Call us and say what you
want your web site to do.

What computer skills do I need?

As little as reading your email for a simple brochure site. To process orders you will need to log in to password protected web pages.

Very little more is needed to change a site set up for you to use in this way.

Do you use open source software?

No. The technology used in the construction and maintenance of your site is commercial software widely used in the trade.

What do I have to do to get going?

We will guide you through the process. On a major site you may reduce setup costs if you are able to produce stock listings (from a database for example) and product illustrations.

Are newsletters illegal?

Many are, but in a legitimate business, legal newsletters can be invaluable to seller and buyer.

Can you follow my brand guidelines?

Absolutely. If you have no formal guidelines in place we will use your logo and colours throughout to use and strengthen your visual identity.

Will you process payments for me?

Banks and other organisations provide such services. We provide the interface to their systems and may be able to help you select a provider according to your expected volumes, target audience and budget.

Are there legal requirements for trading on line?

Yes but most of them apply to other selling at a distance anyway. We will help you with this.
